There will be 3 national seminars that will be held in Gauteng (accompanied by Freestate team members), Western Province (accompanied by Boland and Overberg team members)nand Eastern Province (accompanied by Border and Eden team members) where Peter Brandon Hanshi and his elected National Coaches will be preparing National team members that will be competing at the 8th Goju Kai Global Championships in August this year.

JAPAN CULTURAL EXCHANGE
Due to the longstanding relationship between the Hombu Dojo, Japan and South Africa Goju Kai and the many groups of students visiting Japan, Saiko Shihan and his staff have graciously agreed to host karateka and parents from Western Province. The parents will participate in all activities except attending the training and grading.

The grading will be headed by Saiko Shihan Yamaguchi, Peter Brandon Hanshi and Masatoshi Yamaguchi Shihan.
The following outings are planned whilst in Japan and is subject to change:

Tour to the beautiful countryside of Kamakura to see the great Buddha and ancient temples

Training with Saiko Shihan and Masatoshi Hanshi

A cultural exchange/training seminar with Japanese children
-
Shinjuku and Harajuku by night
-
Sightseeing at the Meiji gardens

Visit to Tokyo Disney
NATIONAL TOURNAMENT
The 44th National Tournament will be held in Free State from 8 - 11 August 2024. Participants, families, and friends from across the country will come together in the spirit of Goju Kai Karate. This tournament will serve as the national tournament and a selection for the National team that will participate in Tokyo in August 2025.
